Life as it is today...

Well I realize I haven't kept up with this, as with everything else in my life. I doubt anyone reads this but me anyway. I am still not anymore blog saavy than I was a few months ago.

I finished school and it was good, hard, fun, and more. I am now licensed to do nails but not sure I want to do that either. I am going to practice more and keep looking for a job at a salon I would thrive in. My ultimate dream is to be the involved stay at home mom, and have a clean house (lets not say perfect as we know perfect doesn't exist but I can dream), which leaves me with the following problem...

I am currently dissatisfied with the status of my house and the training of my children to do their part in keeping it clean. I need to work on staying on top of it as well as teach the kiddo's to value their stuff, take care of it, and put it away. My goal is to do one room (or two small ones) a day, such as organizing and spotless! Riiight, who am I kidding? Once I get it clean I can maintain, right? We will see!

Today is a pity party day! I am looking forward to it! We keep adding items to our house with no place to store them so I guess that would mean I need to get rid of the old, right... Now just get off your butt Elizabeth and clean and organize!

School Starts in...

9 hours!

I am excited and nervous.  I am worried I will forget something or be late or...or...or...

But I am sure all will be fine.

The first few days are always the worst.  I hope everyone transitions ok to the new routine around me, me included!

Wish me luck.  I will soon be a rockin' nail tech!  Wooo hooo!

Who Needs a Little Selfishness?

Me!  Me!  Pick Me!

Being a mom, wife, and friend we usually come in last place when it comes to doing things for ourselves.  I am good at putting everyone first and trying to please everyone.  But this has to stop!  I have to watch out for me too or I will get trampled on in this life till I am flat as a pancake.

So now I vow to think of me and my needs and those of my family before I concern myself with everyone else.  If I always put others first who then, I ask you, will put me first?  Now this is not to say my family isn't my top priority but when I can't do everything for everyone or make everyone happy I have to be ok with that.  I have to stop trying so hard to be it all because I am managing to push others away with my over zealousness.  I am really a very simple, uncomplicated, easy going person so this should be easy, right?

Life

Well as you can see I haven't been on here much. I am still not good in the blog world. It has only been 7 months since I have been on here! All is well on the homefront. I start school on August 25th to become a nail technician and I am so excited. Connor starts 2nd grade on August 14th and Cora will be going to preschool on campus with me, hopefully. My goal is to read other blogs and see what creative stuff and interesting stories I can put on here. I don't know that my life is interesting enough to write about. I haven't gotten my eliptical yet but I am still dreaming about one. All in good time. Someday I will be making my own money so I will be able to afford one!

I am not sure what 7 things people don't know about me. I don't even know who will read this or if I know 7 people to tag. Do I just tag people I don't even know?

1. I have been to Germany, Denmark and The Netherlands (all in high school).

2. We don't give gifts to adults which also means I don't get gifts and it has always been that way but secretly I have always hated it because I love, love, love to get gifts! But I do love to give them more!

3. I love boots, and I want boots, and I can't find any boots! Gimme, gimme, gimme! Help me find boots!

4. We lived in Portland Oregon for two weeks. I couldn't hack it and we moved back.

5. I have two cats and two dogs but I don't like animals. And the only reason we have them is because I wanted them and talked Cliff into them. (Same with the kids...LOL)!!!! Just kidding, I like them!

6. I have just gone back to work part time and I am not sure how I feel about it but I LOVE the money. It is not great but it is more than we had before. I miss being home with my children full time.

7. I know alot about computers and publishing but I don't know anything about blogging and all the rules and what I am supposed to do.

I don't know who to tag so I will have to get to that another day.

I need an Elliptical

So...after much thought and minor research, I am going to buy an elliptical. Now I need to find a creative way to raise/save the money. Should I recycle cans? Ask for donations from friends? Create a website that will generate money for me? Ideas?

I think I have decided on the schwinn 430. Feel free to do any research for me you would like a report back to me! LOL

Why you ask? Ok so you probably don't ask but I will tell. We all need to exercise and I obviously won't go to the gym. If you know my story you also know that exercise is key to my success. So I will bring it right to my living room. I can do it while watching tv. I also want an exercise ball. To me this will be a complete workout. So if you would like to donate to my fund, send me a message. Pass it on to anyone else who would want to! LOL! J/K!...But seriously, if you want to give me money and just can't stop yourself, send away! Anyone who contributes to the cause can come over and use it! Ok, ok, I am not funny anymore.
